A French art form revived in the 1930s, straw marquetry transforms a natural fibre into a truly unique finish. At Maison R&F, we work with rye straw harvested in Burgundy, which is split, flattened and then applied strand by strand in our Bahrain workshop.
Wall panels, furniture, doors: as the light plays across them, each piece comes to life. Depending on the direction of the strands, the surface brightens or darkens, shimmering with the slightest movement.
